Courtney Soloman's After Dark Films has bought the rights to the horror spoof, The Tripper produced from Courteney Cox's company Coquette Productions.

The film marks David Arquette's feature directorial debut, and stars Jamie King, Thomas Jane, Lukas Haas, Jason Mewes, Balthazar Getty and Paul Reubens. It follows a Ronald Reagan-obsessed serial killer who attacks drugged-out hippies at a rock concert. The Hollywood Reporter adds Thomas Jane plays the local sheriff, Reubens plays a concert promoter, and the rest of the featured cast appear as the conservative killer's potential victims.

The Tripper will have a sneak preview this weekend as part of After Dark's Horrorfest.
