The cast of Marvel's Agent Carter continues to grow in Season 2 with the addition of Ken Marino. Marino (Childrens' Hospital, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Vinyl) will play Joseph Manfredi, a volatile leader in the Maggia crime syndicate who will help Peggy Carter's adversaries further their agenda. Here's what executive producers Tara Butters, Chris Dingess and Michele Fazekas had to say about reuniting with the actor, who they previously worked with on Reaper.

"We've loved working with Ken ever since he played a gay ex-demon for us on Reaper, and we were so happy he was available for this role. His range is incredible - he can go from comedy to romance to drama with ease. Writing for him is easy, because he can do pretty much anything. And he used to have a karaoke room in his house, which makes him even more awesome."

Marvel's Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home - and perhaps even a new love - she's about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect. Here's what executive producer Jeph Loeb had to say in his statement.

"At Marvel, even our villains need a certain degree of charm as they make life difficult for our heroes. Ken brings a quality to Joseph Manfredi that only serves to make him even more menacing, adding another layer of depth to our already outstanding supporting cast."

In the Marvel Comics, Joseph Manfredi was the son of a mafia leader, who was also a costumed villain known as Blackwing, who was once a Hydra division leader. He ended up abandoning his super-villain aspirations and became a mafia crime boss in New York. It isn't known if the series will explore his comic book origins as Blackwing or not, so stay tuned.

Ken Marino joins new cast members Wynn Everett as the main villain Whitney Frost Currie Graham as Frost's husband, Calvin Chadwick, Lotte Verbeek as Edwin Jarvis' (James D'Arcy) wife Ana Jarvis and Reggie Austin as Jason Wilkes, a new love interest for Peggy. Also returning from the first season are Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa. What do you think about this new casting addition for Marvel's Agent Carter?
