Battle: Los Angeles producer Neal H. Moritz is returning to the alien-invasion genre with Agent Ox, which he will produce for Sony Pictures.

The studio acquired the spec script by Daniel Kunka (12 Rounds), which centers on a human spy living on an alien planet who tries to stop the aliens from invading Earth.

No production schedule was given for the action project. A director hasn't been attached at this time.

The alien theme is hot these days, with Battle: Los Angeles taking in $36 million at the box office over the weekend. It will be interesting to see if more alien projects sprout up in the wake of Battle: Los Angeles' success.
