Miles Doleac will appear alongside Mark Wahlberg in the upcoming film Holiday Road, according to a recent press release. The action-comedy movie will follow a former top assassin living incognito as a suburban dad who must take his unsuspecting family on the run when his past catches up to him.

Doleac is known for his work in several notable projects, including American Horror Story, where he appeared as Watcher; Lovecraft Country, where he played Hiram Epstein, along with roles in Sleepy Hollow, The Hollow, Demons, and more. In addition, Doleac began his own production company, Historia Films, responsible for several of his projects. The actor is set to play 'Gold Chain' in Holiday Road, a character we know little about though he is said to be German and could possibly be an adversary to Wahlberg.

Doleac recently wrapped production on Renfield with Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult. His next project, Open, starring Jeremy London and William Forsythe, is in the works, which he co-wrote and directed. Holiday Road comes courtesy of Apple and Skydance, though a release date has yet to be announced.

Holiday Road Begins Production

Paramount Pictures

Holiday Road has begun production in Atlanta, Georgia, meaning the film could be ready for a 2023 or 2024 release. Simon Cellan Jones helms the project, known for his work on See, Years and Years, The Politician's Husband, and The Tap. This won't be Mark Wahlberg's first time working with the director, as they recently paired for the upcoming Arthur the King film focusing on an adventure racer who adopts a stray dog named Arthur to join him in an epic endurance race.

David Coggeshall pens the script, responsible for projects such as Orphan: First Kill, Prey, and Lore. Holiday Road features a stellar cast, including Michelle Monaghan (True Detective, Gone Baby Gone), Zoe Margaret Colletti (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark), Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2), Maggie Q (Divergent, The Protégé), Saïd Tahgmaoui (Wonder Woman, Three Kings), Felicia person (The Wire, Swagger), and Jonny Coyne (The Nun, For All Mankind).

Of course, Wahlberg is in the lead, with plenty of notable projects over his multi-decade career, including Boogie Nights, The Fighter, Ted, and The Departed, to name a few. Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson will produce Holiday Road through their Municipal Pictures banner alongside Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, and Don Granger for Skydance. Look for Holiday Road to arrive in theaters sometime in the next year, or 2024.
