Aidan Quinn will have a recurring role on Canterbury's Law, the upcoming Sony Pictures Television series premiering midseason on FOX. Quinn plays "Matt Furey," a former Assistant U.S. Attorney who began teaching law after his and Elizabeth Canterbury's (Julianna Margulies) young son went missing. The couple struggle to distance themselves from the unsolved tragedy and put their relationship back together, goals that become elusive whenever Elizabeth's cases provide a stark reminder of the justice absent in their own lives.

Quinn, nominated this year for an Emmy Award for his supporting role in Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, started his career on the Chicago stage and has since appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway and in London's West End. He has appeared in more than 25 feature films, including Desperately Seeking Susan; Benny & Joon; Legends of the Fall; This Is My Father, written and directed by his brother Paul and filmed by his brother Declan; Evelyn alongside Canterbury's Law co-star Margulies; The Assignment; At Play in the Fields of the Lord; Song for a Raggy Boy (Irish Film Award nomination for Best Actor); Cavedweller (Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Male); Dark Matter with Meryl Streep, which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival; and the upcoming 32A, directed by his sister Marian. On the small screen, Quinn starred in the groundbreaking AIDS drama An Early Frost (Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor), Perfect Witness," Plainsong, Convicted for director Bille August and as the title character in the series The Book of Daniel.

A courtroom drama about a rebellious female defense attorney who's willing to bend the law in order to protect the wrongfully accused, Canterbury's Law stars Julianna Margulies as a woman whose strengths and vices, victories and demons, all combine to serve those in need of justice.

Canterbury's Law is produced by Apostle in association with Sony Pictures Television. Executive producers are Denis Leary, Jim Serpico and Walon Green, and creator and co-executive producer is Dave Erickson. The pilot episode was directed by Mike Figgis.
