It seems that a successful writer-producer is making the leap to directing with a new Fox project. According to Deadline New York, Akiva Goldsman has come aboard to direct Man and Wife.

Goldsman will make his directorial debut on the film, directing from an original script by Alan B. McElroy which is being rewritten by Jason D. Keller. The film centers around an assassin who has to come to grips with his profession when he fall in love with the family he is assigned to kill.

No production schedule was revealed for the film. This project should not be confused with another Man and Wife project set up at Universal, which Richard LaGravenese is directing and centers on an immigrant's love for America.
