Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin have all joined the action-comedy Stand Up Guys for Lionsgate and director Fisher Stevens. We first reported on this project back in February 2009, when it was known as Old Timers.

The story centers on an aging hitman, who is considering taking a job where he must kill his friend. He reunites with another aging criminal cohort for one last night of recklessness, where they ponder their life choices while running from the police. It isn't clear which roles the three actors will portray.

Fisher Stevens is directing Stand Up Guys from a script by Noah Haidle. Sidney Kimmell Entertainment is producing alongside Lakeshore Entertainment, with Lionsgate set to distribute. Production is scheduled to begin this April in Los Angeles.

Fisher Stevens is a longtime actor who has also ventured into directing and producing. He took home an Oscar two years ago for producing The Cove.
