Alexandre Aja, the director of The Hills Have Eyes, has signed on to direct the horror film, Into The Mirror for Regency Enterprises.

It's a remake of the 2003 Japanese film, of the same name. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story follows a security guard at a high-end department store who begins to investigate mysterious deaths occurring in front of the stores' mirrors. He soon discovers that there are murderous reflections out for revenge.

It's written by Jim Uhls (Fight Club) and Joe Gangemi (the upcoming Wind Chill); Aja and his business partner, Greg Levasseur, will produce the film as well.

Into the Mirror is set for production later this year; look for a 2007 release.
