CBS and ABC has joined NBC and Fox, deciding Monday to carry President Bush's primetime speech on immigration live tonight from the Oval Office, says The Hollywood Reporter. Each network will carry the speech, which would take place from 8 p.m. to ~8:20 p.m. EDT.

Bush had new White House press secretary Tony Snow ask all of the networks for time.

All of networks were reluctant at first by the fact that they are in the final days of the May sweeps, with finales and special programming that have been difficult to move to another time slot or pre-empt.
