Sonar Entertainment has teamed up with Ecosse Films to bring Allan Quartermain to the small screen. The show would be a 10-episode project that is budgeted at $30 million. Writers Richard Kurti and Bez Doyle have already inked a deal to write the show.

The show would follow the swashbuckling character from the 1880s who inspired the Indiana Jones franchise. Here's what Stewart Till, CEO of Sonar Entertainment said about the series.

"It's an incredible character from a range of best selling books. I read all the books as a child and it is something that many Brits have grown up with. It's also the kind of high-concept adventure that broadcasters are looking for."

This project is still in early development.
