The cast of director Tate Taylor's new film continues to grow with the addition of yet another cast member. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Allison Janney has joined the cast of The Help.

Janney will portray the mother of Emma Stone's character Skeeter Phelan in the film. The story revolves around Phelan's experience of interviewing a maid (Viola Davis) in 1960s Jackson, Mississippi.

Tate Taylor is directing the film from his own script, adapted from the best-selling by by Kathryn Stockett, who was a childhood friend of Taylor.

The film will begin shooting sometime this summer with filming taking place in Greenwood, Mississippi. The film will hit theaters sometime later next year.
