Just weeks after the termination of her conservatorship, former child star Amanda Bynes has found passion in a new creative endeavor. On Wednesday, Bynes took to Instagram to post audio from a new rap song that she'd been working on for a while with her fiancé, Paul Michael. Announcing that the full song is now available, Bynes says in the caption, "DIAMONDS on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon music and itunes! search DIAMONDS Amanda Bynes Paul Michael."

The song, which was recorded during the pandemic, begins with Michael belting out a verse before Bynes hops in and raps, "Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds, on my neck, on my wrist. Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds, on my fish all wet.”

"Amanda is creative and playful," Bynes' lawyer, David A. Esquibias, said of the song to ET Online. "She had a lot of fun recording 'Diamonds' during the first shut down of the pandemic. She is now able to share it with her fans."

In 2013, Bynes had been placed into a conservatorship after allegedly starting a fire on a neighbor's property due to concerns about her mental health. It was later announced by Bynes that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Bynes has also spoken about her struggles with substance abuse and at one point credited the conservatorship with helping her to stay sober. With many fans showing their support, Bynes filed to end her conservatorship in February, with her attorney noting that her "condition is improved" and that it was no longer necessary. It was officially terminated in March.

At the time, Bynes showed her appreciation for the fans by releasing the following statement, via People.

"Following today's decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time. I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years. In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter. I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can."

Sony Pictures Releasing

After growing up as a child star on Nickelodeon before moving on to appearing in the sitcom What I Like About You and various feature films, Bynes suddenly quit acting in 2010. What prompted her decision was the feeling she had when she watched the Emma Stone rom-com Easy A, in which she was featured in an antagonistic role. Bynes later revealed (via PaperMag) that it was watching herself in that movie, coupled with her use of substances at the time, that directly made her retire as an actress.

"I literally couldn't stand my appearance in that movie and I didn't like my performance. I was absolutely convinced I needed to stop acting after seeing it. I was high on marijuana when I saw that but for some reason it really started to affect me. I don't know if it was a drug-induced psychosis or what, but it affected my brain in a different way than it affects other people. It absolutely changed my perception of things. I saw it and I was convinced that I should never be on camera again and I officially retired on Twitter, which was, you know, also stupid. If I was going to retire [the right way], I should've done it in a press statement - but I did it on Twitter. Real classy! But, you know, I was high and I was like, 'You know what? I am so over this' so I just did it. But it was really foolish and I see that now. I was young and stupid."

Best of luck to Amanda Bynes with all of her future endeavors.
