Summit Entertainment, Lakeshore Entertainment Group and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment jointly announced today that Amanda Seyfried will star in thriller Gone, a film to be directed by Heitor Dhalia from a script penned by Allison Burnett. Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing the project alongside Sidney Kimmel. Chris Salvaterra and Dan Abrams will also produce. Summit has acquired U.S. distribution rights and Lakeshore and Sierra / Affinity are handling sales of worldwide rights to the film which commence at the 2011 European Film Market in Berlin. Principal photography is set to begin in April of this year.

When Jill Parrish (Seyfried) returns home from the night shift to find her sister's bed empty, she is convinced that the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe her and Jill knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, Jill sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.

"We are very excited to be distributing this film and working once again with both Lakeshore and Amanda as well our first production with Sidney Kimmel," said Summit Co-Chairman Rob Friedman. "I have known Tom a long time and we are always looking for ways to work together and having a film starring Amanda is a great opportunity for us following her acclaimed performance in Letters to Juliet."

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment's Jim Tauber states, "We're very happy to be partnering with Lakeshore again. Gone is a thrilling project we believe will excite audiences and we're looking forward to bringing the film to the big screen."

Rosenberg states, "Amanda has had a remarkable career in such a short time and she is the perfect actress to play the smart and fearless heroine in Gone. She has proven to be an extraordinary talent and we're excited to be working with her."

Gone marks the second film among Lakeshore Entertainment, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Summit Entertainment and the fourth co-production between Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Lakeshore. Lakeshore, Kimmel and Summit are set to partner on the upcoming production of Adaline.
