When an out-of-work architect has trouble making ends meet, he ends up taking a bizarre job that changes his life, for better or worse, in the first trailer for Amateur Night. Jason Biggs stars as Guy Carter, a promising graduate student studying architecture, who has been having trouble finding work in his chosen field, which leads to him taking on a unique "driver" job, which is much more complicated than he had imagined. Cinedigm has released the first trailer for this comedy, while announcing that the film will get a limited theatrical release on August 5, before expanding on August 12th digitally, on demand and in 8 other select markets. We also have the first poster and photos from this upcoming comedy.

This new comedy from Cinedigm centers on Guy Carter (Jason Biggs), an award-winning graduate student of architecture. He's got a beautiful wife and a baby on the way. The problem? He doesn't have "his ducks in a row," which only fuels his doubts about being a good father. Guy has been trying to find work in his field for a year with no luck. At wit's end, his wife Anne (Jenny Mollen) finds him a job as a 'driver' on Craigslist. Guy shows up for the interview thinking he'll be delivering pizzas, but quickly realizes it's a job driving prostitutes.

With money too scarce to turn down, he goes for it, which is where he meets Nikki (Janet Montgomery), the tough-as-nails, unapologetic sex worker, and her two hilarious and foul-mouthed cohorts, Jaxi (Bria L. Murphy) and Fallon (Ashley Tisdale). As reluctant driver and protector -- Guy is thrust into a world of rockin' women and feeble men. Over the course of one wild and sordid night, and several 'come-to-Jesus' moments, Guy proves to Nikki- and himself- that he does have what it takes to be the responsible father his family deserves.

With their true-life story inspiring the movie (and the casting: Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen are also married in "real life"), husband/wife team Joe Syracuse and Lisa Addario (Surf's Up, Parental Guidance) wrote and directed the film. While trying to catch their big Hollywood break as writers, Syracuse had a lucrative - and sometimes dangerous - job driving call girls around Los Angeles while Addario was pregnant with their first child. The supporting cast includes Adrian Voo, Steven Weber, Robert Hoffman, Rusty Joiner and Cedric Yarbrough.

The film was produced by Diego Del Rio Toca, Jorge Garcia Castro, Shana Eddy-Grouf and Mary Pat Bentel. The film's executive producers are Samuel Goldberg, Michael Kessel, Jackie Levine, Meyer Orbach, Costa Theo and Tony Parker. Amateur Night will be going up against Suicide Squad, The Founder and Nine Lives when it hits theaters on August 5.
