Gregor Jordan is directing a big screen adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' novel The Informers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Amber Heard and Chris Isaak have join the cast of the film.

The story takes place in 1980s Los Angeles. The plot finds seven different characters' lives intersecting throughout the course of one day. Movie executives, rock stars, and a vampire are featured heavily in the plot.

Heard will play a sex addict caught up in the decadent lifestyle of 1980s Los Angeles. Isaak will be playing a sex and alcohol addicted father who whisks his young son off to Hawaii. Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke also star in the film.

Ellis and Nick Jarecki co-wrote the script. Shooting is currently taking place in and around the Los Angeles area. It will then move to Uruguay and Buenos Aires.
