In June 2004, the curator of the Medal of Honor Museum which is located on the dry-docked U.S.S. Yorktown in South Carolina, discovered that seven one-of-a-kind Medals of Honor were gone. These medals had been awarded to soldiers dating as far back as the Civil War.

The Congressional Medal of Honor is the most prestigious combat medal for valor in action and the only military medal presented to the recipient or his/her survivors by the President of the United States.

On Saturday, February 17, (9 - 10 PM ET/PT) America's Most Wanted will focus on this issue in hopes of helping to recover the priceless medals. America's Most Wanted - America Fights Back, airs on the FOX network and is hosted by John Walsh. In the program Walsh will request viewers to call into the hotline (1-800-CRIME-TV) if they know anything about the missing medals.
