The Voice judge and Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine has signed on for a role in Season 2 of American Horror Story.

The singer will be making his scripted TV debut in American Horror Story, portraying one half of a modern couple known as "The Lovers." It isn't said how many episodes of Season 2 he will appear in, although the show is reportedly shooting around his summer touring schedule.

All that is known about American Horror Story Season 2 so far is that it will take place on the East Coast in a, "horror institution." We reported earlier this month that Season 1 actors Zachary Quinto, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe are returning for Season 2, although they will play different characters.

Production on American Horror Story Season 2 will start this summer, with the season debuting sometime this fall, most likely in October.
