The cast of the 1999 teen comedy American Pie reunited on Entertainment Tonight for the movie's 20th anniversary, and Alyson Hannigan tweeted an amazing photo of them all together. For the occasion, the reunion featured Hannigan (Michelle Flaherty), Jason Biggs (Jim Levenstein), Tara Reid (Vicky Lathum), Chris Klein (Chris "Oz" Ostreicher), Seann William Scott (Steve Stifler), Natasha Lyonne (Jessica), and Eddie Kaye Thomas (Paul Finch). Looking at the cast photo posted to Hannigan's Twitter account, it appears that the American Pie gang hasn't aged a day over the past twenty years.

In the ET reunion interview, the cast members shared their memories of working on the classic movie and how it continues to affect their lives to this day. In particular, Alyson Hannigan brought up her often-quoted line her character says in the movie, which begins, "This one time, at band camp..." Even still, fans regularly say this to the actress, which can create some awkward moments when she's out in public with her children. "Luckily they don't finish the sentence, but I stand there terrified that they will," Hannigan says. Fan encounters can be a bit odd for other cast members as well, as Thomas mentions how most fans simply refer to him as "Stifler's mom."

Directed by Paul and Chris Weitz, American Pie was released into theaters in the summer of 1999. The teen sex comedy follows a group of teenage boys who make a pact to all lose their virginity by the time they graduate high school. In addition to the aforementioned cast members, Eugene Levy also starred in a memorable role as Jim's father. The raunchy comedy is perhaps most known for the scene involving Biggs' character masturbating with a baked apple pie, which is where the title of the movie comes from. American Pie wound up becoming a major hit at the box office, grossing over $235 million against a budget of just $11 million. With the studio seeing the clear potential success in follow-up movies, a popular film franchise was born.

Following the release of the original movie, American Pie 2 debuted in theaters in 2001 to even greater success. This brought about a third movie, American Wedding, which also performed well in theaters when it was released in 2003. In the following years, multiple spin-off movies would be released directly to home video, though each would omit most of the main cast members of the theatrical movies. Finally, in 2012, the original cast got together one more time for American Reunion. There have been rumors in the past of a potential fifth movie going into production, but as of this time, there are no more sequels officially in the works.

It's hard to believe it's been two full decades since the release of American Pie, but it's fun to see so many of its stars back together once again. Time will tell if the gang ever does so in the future for a new installment of the series. As for the cast photo, you can take a look at that below, courtesy of Alyson Hannigan on Twitter.
