2929 Prods. has picked up A Forest of Mirrors, a fact-based spy thriller script by Jeremy Gough with Anand Tucker set to direct.

According to Variety, the film is inspired by a true story and is a '60s spy thriller about a CIA agent who travels to Guatemala to investigate his brother's death and uncovers a conspiracy that threatens to turn the tide of the Cold War. The drama was developed by Lauren Prods. (The Squid and the Whale). 2929 will finance.

"Jeremy's script is a rare beast, both a perfect thriller and deeply emotional experience," said Tucker, who directed Hilary and Jackie and Shopgirl.
