It seems the comedy troupe Broken Lizard's new film finally has distribution. According to Variety, Anchor Bay Films has picked up The Slammin' Salmon and is eyeing a December release for the comedy.
The film revolves around an ex-boxer-turned-restaurant owner (Michael Clarke Duncan) who, after getting in debt with the Japanese mafia, demands his waiters sell more food than they ever have in one night.
Broken Lizard's Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske star along with Will Forte, Lance Henriksen and Vivica A. Fox. Heffernan directed the film, which made its premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival earlier this year.
