Focus Features executive James Schamus is re-writing the romantic comedy, A Little Game; Ang Lee will direct.

Originally set to star Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz, the film fell apart when the two actors, as well as the original director Gabriele Muccino, dropped out. It's an adaptation of a French play called A Little Game of Consequence that centers on a happily engaged Brooklyn couple who decide to play an experiment on their friends; Variety adds when a rumor goes around that they have broken up, they play along to find out what their pals really think of their coupling.

No new production schedule has been set for A Little Game.
