Animaniacs is returning this winter with an all-new series revival on Hulu, and the streamer has released a new teaser for the reboot to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the original's series premiere. As has been previously announced, the new Animaniacs is set to return with the original voice actors back on board to reprise their classic roles. Hulu has also announced that the revival is set to begin streaming on Nov. 20.

Now, thanks to a new teaser from Hulu, we have been given a good look at how Yakko, Wakko, and Dot will appear in the revival series, and longtime fans should be happy to know that they haven't changed much at all. The video plays a few classic clips from the original Animaniacs before giving fans a peek at the show's visual upgrade. Also revealed in the teaser are some production animatics from unfinished episodes, and we can also see the original voice actors back in the studio to record their new lines for all of our fan favorite characters.

Hulu first announced that they were rebooting Animaniacs back in 2018, and fans have been waiting patiently for the series to return. Similar to the original series, the revival will also include segments following Pinky and the Brain, a duo of mice constantly trying (and failing) to take over the world. Better yet, the streamer has already given the series a two-season order, with each season consisting of 13 episodes. After the first season premieres this winter, season two will follow on the streaming service sometime in 2021.

The new Animaniacs brings back the original voice cast. This includes Rob Paulsen (Yakko, Pinky), Tress MacNeille (Dot), Jess Harnell (Wakko), and Maurice LaMarche (The Brain). Steven Spielberg is also back on board to executive produce alongside Warner Bros. Animation president Sam Register and Amblin Television co-presidents Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. "We cannot wait to work with Steven Spielberg and the entire Amblin and Warner Bros. teams to bring more sketches, catchphrases, songs and laughs from the Animaniacs to kids and adults everywhere," Hulu Senior Vice President Craig Erwich said previously in a statement.

Created by Tom Ruegger, Animaniacs first hit the airwaves in 1993 on Fox Kids before later moving to the Kids' WB programming block. An animated sketch and variety show at heart, the series consisted of a very large cast of unique characters telling various short stories in each episode. At the center of the show were Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, three Warner siblings living in the water tower of the Warner Bros. studio lot. Ultimately, the show ran for five seasons with just under a hundred episodes overall, though in the years ever since, it has maintained a very strong fan following.

You can catch the Animaniacs revival when the series begins streaming exclusively on Hulu on Nov. 20. With the original cast on board and with the characters appearing just as how we remember them, it's needless to say that the reboot will be a must-see series for any longtime Animaniacs fan. The new teaser comes to us from Hulu on Twitter.
