"The Apology is like nothing else you will see this holiday season — an intense and chilling thriller led by a tour-de-force performance from Anna Gunn,” RLJE Films’ Chief Acquisitions Officer, Mark Ward, said when the movie was acquired in October. “We are ecstatic to once again partner with our friends at Shudder and Company X Productions to bring this captivating original to audiences.”

Gunn is of course very well known for her role as Skyler White in AMC's hit drama Breaking Bad, as her performance earned her an Emmy on two separate occasions. While the series was airing, her character took a lot of flak from fans, something that creator Vince Gilligan recently said he never understood. More fans have also been coming around to appreciating Skyler when rewatching the series and getting a better understanding of her cahracter.

The actress can also be recognized for memorable roles in other shows like The Practice, Deadwood, and Shades of Blue, and she has also been announced to join the cast of the upcoming Apple TV series Sugar. Gunn has also appeared in a variety of movies since her days on Breaking Bad, including last year's comedy Land of Dreams with Sheila Vand, Matt Dillon, and William Moseley.

The Apology will be released and theaters and will start streaming on Shudder and AMC+ on Dec. 16, 2022. You can view the official key art below for another small tease of the film.
