It's only been four years since Christopher Nolan wrapped up his Batman trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises, but quite a bit has changed since then. The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) was launched in 2013 with Man of Steel, and continued with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but one of The Dark Knight Rises stars, Anne Hathaway, would like to be included in this universe as Catwoman. Here's what the actress had to say, during an interview at the Toronto Film Festival.

"I loved that character and I had such a blast playing her. I'm not sure how it would work because I think the Chris Nolan chapter of the Batman story has been wrapped up and I'm part of that, but I love the DC Universe and it would be fun to take a trip back."

During her interview with Variety, Anne Hathaway was also asked if she ever felt "precious" of the Catwoman character that has been played by so many. There is even a new, younger version of Selina Kyle played by Camren Bicondova on Fox's Gotham. Here's what Anne Hathaway had to say, about how other actresses who played Catwoman were very generous to her.

"I don't think you can (be precious). It sort of goes with the territory when you accept it and receive it from the last Catwoman. I was shown such generosity from Halle [Berry] and from Michelle [Pfeiffer], and so I would do that the next time as well."

While the DCEU is clearly not set in the same universe as the Christopher Nolan trilogy, it's worth noting that actor-director Ben Affleck is putting together his own Batman Reboot for Warner Bros., and it was just announced that Joe Manganiello will play Deathstroke. There have been reports that this movie will feature numerous villains from the comics, but Deathstroke is the only one confirmed as of now. The question now is, would Anne Hathaway work as Catwoman in a DCEU movie?
