Paul Rudd wants Ant-Man 3 to happen. However, he is unsure if Marvel Studios is planning on making the sequel to 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp and wants fans to campaign for it. Campaigning shouldn't be too hard for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans to do. Every day new petitions are started by fans in an attempt to make the entertainment industry to do their bidding. More often than not, these campaigns are usually sparked by outrage, so it would be nice to see one rooted in positivity.

Paul Rudd was recently interviewed and asked about the possibility of an Ant-Man 3. Both Rudd and co-star Evangeline Lilly were featured in this year's Avengers: Endgame and they have both publicly stated they would like to return to the world of Ant-Man. With that being said, the first two installments were moderate successes at the box office and not the smashes we've seen as of late. Rudd had this to say when asked about returning.

"I don't know. You need to make a call to the top brass and start a campaign to make it happen."

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi was able to reunite Paul Rudd and Ant-Man co-star Michael Pena for an international IMAX Pepsi commercial. The commercial has Rudd and Pena as astronauts for the "No Can Left Behind" promotion, which has been getting praise from MCU fans. The actors had a great time working with Waititi. Rudd explains.

"The way Taika works, and is also the way myself and Michael have worked in the Marvel films, is that we kind of stick with this template and play around with a few things. Taika really encourages it."

Chris Hemsworth credits Taika Waititi with making the role of Thor fun again. The director likes to collaborate and improvise on the set, which is something Michael Pena and Paul Rudd were already experienced in doing. When taking on the Pepsi commercial, Rudd and Pena made some slight tweaks to their characters. Rudd had this to say about what the script originally called for.

"It seems as if when we were filming it, myself and Michael were even more of a pair of bumbling buffoons than when we had first read. There's no way these two guys should be in charge of a space mission so we added in extra falls, fell several times, you know, it's hard to run in a space suit."

As far as Taika Waititi coming on board to direct Ant-Man 3, Paul Rudd had a great time with him, but he has another idea. "I am such a fan of his and the whole experience was a blast but Peyton is my guy," says Rudd, referring to Ant-Man director Peyton Reed. So hopefully fans get together to let Marvel know that they want Ant-Man 3 to move forward in the MCU. While we wait for more news, you can watch the Pepsi commercial below.
