How about we throw a dash of DC into your Marvel ensemble this morning? The Dark Knight actor David Dastmalchian has been confirmed for a role in director Peyton Reed's Ant-Man.

Having previously played one of Joker's thugs, its not known which coveted Ant-Man role the actor has signed on for. Marvel and Disney are keeping his character under wraps, but it's likely he's returning to his villainous ways.

David Dastmalchian is an accomplished TV actor who has appeared in bit roles on hit series such as ER, The League, and Ray Donovan before taking on the part of Bob Taylor in Prisoners starring opposite Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. He also recently appeared in the cancelled J.J. Abrams series Almost Human. Ant-Man will be his most high profile project to date.

David Dastmalchian joins a mighty ensemble that already includes Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michael Pena, Evangeline Lilly, Patrick Wilson and Corey Stoll.

Peyton Reed is directing the Marvel adventure after Edgar Wright, who was with the production for nearly ten years, infamously walked away two months ago. Things are back on track now, with shooting to begin before summer is over for a 2015 release date.
