The latest look at upcoming MCU sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, offers our first look at The Good Place star William Jackson Harper as the mysterious character, Quaz. This new image comes courtesy of Empire, and finds Harper standing alongside Katy M. O’Brian’s Jentorra, the leader of a band of freedom fighters who wish to expel Kang from the Quantum Realm. Known for his roles in the likes of Midsommar and the hugely successful sitcom The Good Place, many had hoped that William Jackson Harper would eventually join the MCU as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, the leader of the Fantastic Four. Instead, Harper joins the franchise as the mysterious Quaz, a telepath and freedom fighter working to rid the realm of the tyrannical Kang.
Of course, there are still those who believe (and hope) that Harper will be revealed to really be playing Mr. Fantastic after all (there is a Fantastic Four reboot on the way), while others believe that Quaz could be an altered version of the Marvel superhero, Quasar, a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent with a killer instinct who comes into possession of the Quantum Bands, granting him the power of energy manipulation.
Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to find out who Quaz really is. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023, as the first film of Phase Five of the MCU.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Finds Scott Lang Facing His Biggest Ever Threat

Directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay by Jeff Loveness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania finds Scott Lang aka Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne aka Wasp, as well as Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, and Cassie Lang accidently sucked into the Quantum Realm. Now trapped, the Ant-Man sequel finds our heroes coming face-to-face with Loki star Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, a new enemy with a mysterious agenda who will push the heroes to their limits as they attempt to navigate this mysterious world.
Marvel Studios Boss Kevin Feige has teased the role of Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania calling him a “new kind of big bad.” A big bad who will also do battle with The Avengers in 2025’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. “He is the obvious choice as you’re dealing with the Multiverse,” Feige said of the character. “Kang allowed us to do a new kind of Big Bad. He’s a different type of villain, warring amongst themselves as much as he’s warring with our heroes. Kang’s a very powerful person, but when we meet him he’s in a position where he needs to get that power back. He has a ship and a device that would allow him to go anywhere, and anywhen he wants if he can get it online. If only he had access to genius scientists with Pym particles.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, William Jackson Harper, Katy O'Brian, Randall Park, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar, the governor of the lavish Axia community in the Quantum Realm, and who shares a history with Janet van Dyne.
