A remake of a 1985 horror classic is moving forward with a brand new leading man. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Anton Yelchin is in talks to star in the Fright Night remake.

Lars and the Real Girl director Craig Gillespie will be directing from a script by Marti Noxon. It was said that the remake will be in the same vein as Tom Holland original Fright Night and will center on a young man who believes his new neighbor is a vampire, with the rest of the town dismissing his claims.

It was said that Yelchin's character will retain the same name of the character that William Ragsdale portrayed in the original 1985 film: Charley Brewster. No production schedule was released for the film.
