In a story from The Hollywood Reporter it seems that film critics A.O. Scott and Michael Phillips will be the new co-hosts of At the Movies for the upcoming season.

Scott currently works as a film critic for the New York Times. Phillips writes about film for the Chicago Tribune.

The duo will take the reigns from Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz. Their tenure ends at the end of August due to criticism from Roger Ebert. Ebert was one of the original hosts of At the Movies.

The original show was created in 1975 with hosts Ebert and Gene Siskel. It then started airing on ABC in 1986. Scott and Phillips will kick off the 24th season on September 5.
