It was a bloodbath at the top of the DVD charts last week!
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Buena Vista Home Entertainment saw big dollar signs as Mel Gibson's Apocalypto took the top spot on Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's rental chart "for the week ending May 27."
Last weeks chart topper, Pan's Labyrinth, from New Line Home Entertainment, dropped to the No. 2 position on both charts.
Warner Bros. saw Letters From Iwo Jima come in at "No. 3 on the sales chart and No. 4 on the rental chart." Meanwhile, Fox's comedy Epic Movie, placed "No. 4 on First Alert and No. 3 on the rental chart" last week.
On the TV-DVD side, both Buena Vista's Scrubs: The Complete Fifth Season and Warner Bros. The O.C.: The Complete Fourth Season, made it into the Top 20 of Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart.
Lastly, re-entering the sales charts were Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest at No. 7, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl at No. 9.
