In a story from Variety, Apparition and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions have finalized their deal to pick up the Kristen Stewart-James Gandolfini film Welcome to the Rileys.

The film initially screened at Sundance. The deal is for seven-figures.

Jake Scott directed this film which was produced by his dad, Ridley, and uncle Tony's production company Scott Free. The script was written by Ken Hixon.

Welcome to the Rileys focuses on a couple, played by Gandolfini and Melissa Leo. Their marriage is rocky and things get upended when he gets involved with a young prostitute, played by Stewart. Gandolfini's character is on a business trip and he stays longer to help her, which doesn't set well with his wife.

Apparition hopes to bring out this film in the fall.
