When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next year, fans will be introduced to Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa. It is believed that the entire lineup of the Justice League Part 1, which includes Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg). Jason Momoa made an appearance at Toronto's Fan Expo Canada 2015 this weekend, where he shared new details about Aquaman, who has often been the butt of many fans' jokes over the years, but the actor believes no one will be laughing when they see his version of the character.

"You know, it's cute and funny, I mean people make fun of him and there's a bunch of jokes about him. But I'm like 'Well... just wait. Let's just wait a little bit. And then we can make jokes...'"

Warner Bros. and DC Comics take a different approach to their superhero movies, with their "no-joke policy" that results in more "serious" movies than the lighter fare from Marvel. Unfortunately, the actor wouldn't say if he would be in conflict with any of the other heroes yet. When asked if Aquaman will offer a lighter contrast to the serious characters of Batman and Superman, the actor had this to say.

"I can't see me busting out a bunch of jokes. I mean, I don't think it'll be like that. I don't think Aquaman's going to be raping and pillaging any villages."
