By this point, we've all seen the Jason Momoa photo from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which reveals his Aquaman costume. And it's not necessarily true to the DC Comic Books upon which it is based. And it all but abandons the early incarnation of the underwater suit. There isn't much orange or green to be seen on Jason Momoa, but the actor hints that may change soon. Talking with self-proclaimed crazy cat lady Martha Boyd for The Robot Voice, Jason Momoa had this to say when asked if fans would be seeing a more traditional costume.

"Well, there might be some bit of orange and green. A bit of respect to prior work, but I think he is meaner now and upset - look at what has been done to our oceans. That's his world that has been polluted."

Many fans still haven't recovered from the initial shock of seeing Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis. Some thought he looked more like Rob Zombie than an underwater savior. The character will appear on screen with knotted-up dreadlocks and a series of tribal tattoos and matching armor. He definitely looks like someone you wouldn't make jokes about. At least not to his face. The original photo does have hints of gold, and perhaps a very dull green. But it's not the bright and poppy orange and green we're used to seeing. Will there be several costumes for Aquaman? That we don't know yet. But it's hard to imagine the iconic DC character lounging around in this getup while awaiting his next meeting at the Hall of Justice.

As we saw over the course of Comic-Con, there will be a lot of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice toys coming our way over the course of the next seven months leading into the film's March release date. Perhaps not as many as Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but it is sure to be a big ticket item come this Christmas season. And rest assured, as if there was ever any doubt, Aquaman will be a key part of the action figure line-up. When Martha Boyd asked if he's been body-scanned for merchandise, he had this to say.

"Yes I have. There will be collectibles."

Jason Momoa is expected to make his debut appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though that has never been confirmed by anyone directly associated with the movie. He will then next be seen in Justice League Part 1, which arrives in 2017, before moving onto his own solo adventure in 2018. He's expected to appear in Justice League Part 2 in 2019. It isn't known if he is scheduled to appear in any of the other upcoming DC Comics movies. His role in Batman v Superman is said to be a glorified cameo, and won't consist of more than two scenes.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jesse Eisenberg will be playing the villain Lex Luthor. In the movie, Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman vs Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
