It’s not so much “get to the chopper” as get chopping for Arnold Schwarzenegger this Halloween as he shared a photo on his Twitter account of his carving a special pumpkin with fellow actor and friend Sylvester Stallone. The pair posed with their artistic work, and the huge knives – which it should be said Crocodile Dundee would have been proud to own - that they seemingly used to make their spooky creations.

Stallone also shared the snap on his Instagram account, commenting:

"Myself and my great friend Arnold , @schwarzenegger spending time at his amazing office Carving Pumpkin Heads for Halloween with Survival Knives !!! . That’s what real ACTION guys do with their free time! Lol…"

Although it may not be the most action-packed thing the pair have done together, at least not when stacked alongside movies like The Expendables, but if a couple of old Hollywood stars can’t chill out and get in the mood for Halloween then who can. Although they are clearly having a great time, even if some of those who like their pumpkin carving a little more elaborate may have plenty of faults to pick with the results of their work, it will not be long before both of the stars are back on screen again in separate projects. Now that will be really scary for any bad guys they come across.

What Are Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger Starring In Next?

Escape Plan Photo 3

Despite being much older than when they first started kicking ass on screen, neither Stallone or Schwarzenegger have shied away from continuing to bring some thrilling action movies to screen. Former Californian governor Schwarzenegger is soon to be seen as the President in David Sandberg martial arts comedy Kung Fury 2, a role that many Americans would have happily seen him so in real life, and he also provides a voice-over in animated sitcom Little Demon, with Twins co-star Danny DeVito, who will be appearing with in sequel Triplets. Big Arnie will also be taking on his first TV lead role in Netflix’s action series Fubar and is set to reprise his role as Conan the Barbarian one last time.

Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone may have bowed out from reprising his most famous role of Rocky Balboa in upcoming Creed III, the actor is busier than ever with a number of newly released movies and more coming soon. Although Stallone has been seen in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy movies as Stakar Orgord aka Starhawk, a role he will reprising in next summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he takes the lead in a new and dark take on the superhero genre, Samaritan, whichwas released on Prime Video back in August. He will also be rounding out his involvement in another franchise when Expendables 4 is released in September 2023. While Stallone does reprise his role as Barney Ross in the movie, this is his final appearance and when it comes to a big star like Stallone, that suggests a blaze-of-glory death scene is on the cards.

Stallone will also appear in his first scripted TV role in Tulsa King, a crime drama which sees Stallone playing Mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who has just been released from prison and attempts to rebuild his criminal operations with a new crew. The series premieres on Paramount+ on November 13.

Seeing Stallone and Schwarzenegger sharing screen time together in the future is something that is not currently on the cards, but as the pair are clearly happy to spend time together off-camera, there is always a chance of them cooking up something other than a slice of pumpkin pie.
