The first trailer for Arnold finds Netflix exploring the life and times of bodybuilding, Hollywood, and political icon Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Austrian Oak is getting the docuseries treatment on Netflix in the upcoming three-part limited series, which is scheduled to debut on the streaming platform next month. Check out the newly released trailer for Arnold below.

Featuring unprecedented access to the most candid interviews from the man himself as well as co-stars, fans, observers, friends, and even foes, Arnold has been described by Netflix as an “intimate docuseries” and finds Arnold Schwarzenegger telling his life story — all three of them. Thus, the docuseries details Arnold Schwarzenegger's multifaceted life and career, from his days of lifting weights to his successes in Hollywood, his time serving as governor of California, and both the joys and volatility of his family life.

Arnold is directed by Lesley Chilcott, who is best known for her work on such critically acclaimed documentaries Waiting for Superman, It Might Get Loud, and the Academy Award-winning An Inconvenient Truth, as well as directing the acclaimed docuseries Helter Skelter: An American Myth. Allen Hughes (The Defiant Ones) is on board as an executive producer.

The name ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger’ has been a household one for decades. Hailing from a small town in Austria, Schwarzenegger began his rise into the echelons of fame with weightlifting. He first started bodybuilding at the young age of 15, winning the Mr. Universe title at just 20, and going on to win the Mr. Olympia title seven times. After appearing in the documentary Pumping Iron, Schwarzenegger started to see his star rise in Hollywood leading the sword-and-sorcery outing Conan the Barbarian before starring in some of the most iconic action movies of all time in The Terminator, Commando, Predator, Total Recall, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and so, so many more. Having conquered both the bodybuilding and acting worlds, Schwarzenegger then set his sights on politics, serving as the governor of California between 2003 and 2011.

Arnold is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 7, 2023.
