While it has been rumored for sometime, it is now official! Damien Darhk is going to be one of the main villains in Arrow Season 4. And it has been announced that a comic book movie veteran will be taking on the role. Neal McDonough is perhaps best known for his roles in the popular TV shows Band of Brothers and Justified. But he truly made his presence known among the comic book crowd when he took on the role of Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger, later reprising the role in the the ABC action drama Marvel's Agent Carter. He now joins the cast of Arrow as a series regular for Season 4. Neal McDonough will play the DC Comics character Damien Darhk.

Damien Darhk is a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra's Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow's greatest challenges. Damien Darhk made his first appearance in the DC Comic Titans #1 in March 1999. In the comics, Darhk is killed by Vandal Savage, who just happens to be one of the main villains of the upcoming CW spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Returning for Season 4 Wednesday, October 7, at 8/7c on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, with John Barrowman and Paul Blackthorne, special appearance by Neal McDonough. The executive producers are Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Wendy Mericle and Sarah Schechter.
