Vixen has arrived! Last year, this DC Comics character was introduced in a short animated series on The CW Seed. Now she gets the live-action treatment in next week's all-new episode of Arrow. And she's even cooler than we expected.

The Vixen web series featured both Arrow and The Flash, voiced by Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin. But it was Vixen who was at the forefront of all the action, voiced by actress Megalyn Echikunwoke, best known for her roles in A Good Day to Die Hard and Damsels in Distress. She returns to reprise her role in the flesh, looking every bit like her cartoon alter ego. And we have a new gallery that spotlights her first TV appearance.

Vixen will appear in the 15th episode of the season Taken, which premieres on February 24. In this latest adventure, Oliver realizes he needs help battling Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). So he calls in an old friend, Vixen (guest star Megalyn E.K.). Using her magical ability to summon animal powers, Vixen gets a lock on Darhk's location and the team goes to war. Meanwhile, Thea has a heart-to-heart talk with Malcolm.

The Vixen character was created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner in 1981, first appearing in Action Comics #521 complete with her animal mimicking abilities. The character has gone on to be a member of the Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey and the Justice League of America. In the Vixen web series, Mari McCabe is a street smart model who inherits a mysterious family heirloom that grants her the powers of the animal kingdom. Mari first met Green Arrow and the Flash during the debut season of her series, but fans won't have to wait until the second season of Vixen debuts to see her reunite with at least one half of that superheroic duo.

Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Katie Cassidy as Dinah "Laurel" Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, John Barrowman as Malcom Merlyn, with Paul Blackthorne as Detective Lance. The series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter. Taken will premiere Wednesday, February 24 at 8:00pm ET/PT on The CW.
