Earlier today, we showed you the first photos from The Flash Season 3 premiere, which will air on Tuesday, October 4 at 8 PM ET on The CW. Of course, The Flash is just one-fourth of the network's superhero lineup, so it's only right that the network reveals new photos from their first superhero program, Arrow, which feature the new villain Prometheus. If that wasn't enough, we also have details about a new character coming to Star City this year.

Prometheus was first unveiled during the Comic-Con trailer last month, which also revealed new Team Arrow recruits Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin) and Wild Dog, alongside the returning Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum). These new images give us our best look at Prometheus yet, along with Stephen Amell both as civilian Oliver Queen and as vigilante Green Arrow. We also get new looks at returning characters Willa Holland as Speedy, David Nykl as Anatoly Knyazev, and newcomer Chad Coleman as Tobias Church.

In related news, Deadline reports that David Meunier (Justified, Revolution) has come aboard to portray another villainous character, Ishmael Gregor. He is described as the Pakhan, a.k.a. "Godfather" of the Bratva that Anatoly Knyazev reports to, who starts taking an interest in Oliver Queen. In the comics, Ishmael Gregor is more interested in a demon known as Sabbac, but this report claims the show will focus on his "earthly ambitions."

Other Arrow newcomers this season include Josh Segarra as Vigilante, Carly Pope as Coast City reporter Susan Williams, Tyler Ritter as SCPD Detective Malone and former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes. Fans may recall that last year, Stephen Amell and Cody Rhodes, who wrestled in the WWE as Stardust, engaged in a rivalry that culminated in a popular match at WWE's pay-per-view event SummerSlam. Cody Rhodes left the WWE in May, and is now trying his hand at acting. He will appear in the third episode of Season 5, but no details about his appearance have been revealed.

We also reported last month that beloved star Colton Haynes will be returning soon as Roy Harper, with Echo Kellum sharing a photo from the set with his co-star. The actor revealed in May that he would return to the show for a "few episodes," but no details were given about his return. The show is also gearing up to be part of an epic four-way crossover with The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. Take a look at these new photos from the Arrow Season 5 premiere below.
