As he often does, Arrow star Stephen Amell held a live Facebook Q&A for his fans, during his lunch hour as filming continues on Arrow Season 6. The actor was asked a wide variety of questions, ranging from the playoff chances of his beloved Toronto Blue Jays, to whether or not he likes penguins, but one of the most interesting tidbits came when he was asked by a fan about the possibility of a crossover between Arrow and The CW's long-running hit show Supernatural. Here's what the actor had to say during the live Q&A session, while seemingly throwing some shade at stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki's work ethic.

"I mean, that's really up to Jensen and Jared. I heard that they're getting a spin-off which is exciting but as the much, much more senior members of the CW family, and as guys who, from what I can tell, work one and a half to two days a week, it really would be about finding a moment in their schedule to make all the fans happy. I'm totally up for it. I'm not trying to pass the buck, but the buck is now sitting at their feet."

While the actor seemed to be joking about Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki's grueling schedule, during the Q&A on Stephen Amell's Facebook, since he cracked a big smile after that joke, it seems he would be interested in pursuing a crossover. Of course, Arrow is no stranger to crossovers, with the show taking part in an epic four-part superhero crossover last season that involved Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. While Supernatural hasn't exactly crossed over with any other CW shows before, they have made references to other shows in the past, including last season, where they showcased Negan's barbed wire bat from The Walking Dead as a nod to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played the Winchester brothers' father John Winchester early on in the series.

As for the Supernatural spin-off mentioned by Stephen Amell, we reported just a few weeks ago that there will be an episode in the upcoming Supernatural Season 13 that will serve as a back-door pilot for a spin-off entitled Wayward Sisters, focusing on Kim Rhodes' character Sheriff Jody Mills, who has been recurring on Supernatural since Season 5. This spin-off will follow Mills as she takes a group of young girls under her wing, who have all been orphaned by supernatural tragedies, to become a powerful foster family that becomes a supernatural monster-hunting team. Still, it is not known how the storylines for Supernatural and Arrow could cross over.

Since both Arrow and Supernatural are filmed in Vancouver, along with The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, it is possible that they could find a way for a crossover to work, which would be virtually impossible if each show shot in a different city. Still, it would have to be something that both shows would agree too, and with Arrow already likely taking part in another four-part crossover this season with the rest of the DC shows, it may be a tall order to try and squeeze a Supernatural crossover in as well. Take a look at Stephen Amell's Facebook Live video below, with the Supernatural crossover remarks coming at around the 7-minute mark. And speaking of crossovers that are strange, but they somehow found a way to work, The Winchester Bros. will be teaming up with Scooby-Doo this fall for their first-ever full-length animated episode.
