Sidney Lumet already made The Anderson Tapes once before, in 1971. Now, according to Variety, the film is being remade by Rush Hour 3 producer Arthur Sarkissian.

The original film was based on a novel by Lawrence Sanders. The plot follows an ex-con who tries to heist a high-rise apartment building in New York. Problem is, the poor bastard doesn't know he's being trailed by the cops. Sean Connery played the ex-con in the original theatrical version.

The remake of The Anderson Tapes will be set in Miami. There is no word as to when filming would start.
