In the new Starz series Ash Vs. Evil Dead, iconic horror hero Ashley Williams is once again responsible for opening the Book of the Dead, unleashing the long dormant Deadites on an unsuspecting populace. All because he failed to heed one warning: Never read from the pages aloud! How and why Ash is once again in possession of the Necronomicon is anybody's guess. As part of EW's big Comic Con preview, they have shared some of the gruesome pages from the infamous Necronomicon inked in bright red human blood. Only gaze upon them if you dare! In his latest interview about the return of the classic horror franchise, star Bruce Campbell revealed more about his character's return to the world of malevolent spirits.

"This is a guy who thought he could just quietly live a life of quiet desperation and-no...He brings it back upon himself and the world, and he of all people must save the world from his own doing. That's classic Evil Dead. Ash is basically responsible for everything."

Yesterday, EW released the first official image of Bruce Campbell back in action. Ash returns, blood-covered and wearing the same blue shirt we last left him in. And he's never bothered to do anything about that missing hand, which appears to have been permanently replaced by one very iconic chainsaw.

Ash Vs. Evil Dead will be arriving at Comic Con 2015 with its star and creators in tow. The Q&A panel will take place Friday July 10th, 2015 in Room 6A at the San Diego Convention Center, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. The first full-length trailer is expected to be unveiled. You can contain some of that excitement by peering deep into the Book of the Dead. But whatever you do, do not read from it aloud!
