It must be the spirit of the season. According to Variety, Columbia Pictures will make Father's Day. Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg are directing the picture, with Kutcher eyeing the lead role.

The film has been described as a "multi-generational comedy". Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson are currently working on the screenplay.

There is no official word on the plotline of the project. Nor is there a scheduled start date.
