Platinum Studios, an entertainment media company that controls the world's largest independent library of comic book characters, today presents the return of the Comic Book Challenge (, a contest for aspiring comic book writers and artists worldwide.

New and unpublished comic book creators will be encouraged to submit their ideas online as we approach San Diego Comic Con in July. The top 50 semi-finalists will be invited to pitch their concepts live to a panel of industry insiders, including Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, chairman of Platinum Studios and founder of Malibu Comics, where he discovered and developed Men In Black and Marc Silvestri, founder and chief executive officer of Top Cow Comics. The winner's comic concept will be developed for print, online, film and TV.
