The Lifetime Network is set to adapt two upcoming telefilms based on Patricia Cornwell's popular crime novels At Risk and The Front. According to Variety, Stanley M. Brooks and Jim Head will produce the two movies through Tandem Communications. This is the first time the author's work will be adapted for film or television.

John Pielmeier is writing both screenplays. The continuing storylines will follow Massachusetts state investigator Win Garano and his ambitious supervisor, state attorney Monique Lamont, as they investigate cases. Tandem managing director Rola Bauer stated, "Cornwell is a brand with a built-in audience. She is the leader in her genre, and her stories are powerful, inventive and original. Her books have very broad appeal with both men and women among a wide demographic, and we are looking forward to seeing these stories bring those readers to television screens around the world."

The first of these two films will air much later this year.
