With the final season coming to an end, it is the perfect time to dig deeper into some of the most important details in Attack on Titan. Known as one of the most-viewed animes in the world, AOT managed to glue fans to the screen with its immersive animation, detailed storyline, and nerve-racking moments. The Eldian Warrior Unit is introduced in later seasons of Attack on Titan as a group of soldiers that hope to inherit the Titans. The members of this group are mostly the Subjects of Ymir, an ethnic group of people from Eldia, who have been given Titan powers. Despite the fact that the Eldians are looked down upon by the Marleyans, as Eldian Warriors they are granted citizenship and earn respect for themselves and their families. With the amount of action unfolding on screen, it wouldn't be surprising if fans missed out on some interesting details the creators of the anime added to the show. Here are some important details that fans missed about the Eldian Warriors in Attack on Titan:

Contrary to what some fans might think, Reiner’s buff body isn’t just there for fan service. He also did not gain all the muscle mass during the time he spent in the 104th Training Corps. So, how exactly did he buff up so much? According to the Attack on Titan Character Encyclopedia, Reiner actually inherited his muscle mass from his father. Hajime Isayama, the Attack on Titan creator, stated that Reiner’s strength is similar to that of hammer thrower and sports scientist Koji Murofushi, MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko and football player Givanildo Vieira de Sousa. Talk about strong!

He’s holding in his hands a stuffed monkey with long arms, which can be seen as a foreshadowing of his Beast Titan form. In addition, if one looks closely, one might be able to realize that Zeke’s toys look exactly like the toys that Tom Ksaver’s son plays with.

With most characters, Isayama designed their human characters first and then based their Titan design on their human form. However, the same cannot be said for Bertholdt. Interestingly, Isayama designed Bertholdt’s Colossal Titan first and then worked his way backward to design his human form. The main question that Isayama sought to answer when designing Bertholdt’s human form was: What kind of character would evolve into the weak and docile Colossal Titan?

It’s hard to imagine the somewhat sweet and kind Pieck as anything other than herself. However, it seems that the Eldian Warrior came close to becoming a middle-aged man! During the initial stages of the character design process, Isayama considered turning her into a middle-aged man named Oliver Pieck. He even has some rough sketches drawn out for Oliver. It definitely would have been interesting to see Pieck as a middle-aged man.

It’s also worth considering that Armored Titan has a score of eight, while the Colossal Titan has a score of 11. There are assumptions that Zeke’s strength is amplified when combined with his intelligence, which scores 11. Zeke is tied with Hange as one of the smartest characters in the series.
