Aubrey Plaza is joining season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus as a lead character. The Legion and Parks and Recreation is the second major casting in the follow-up to creator Mike White’s incredibly successful limited series. Plaza will be joining Michael Imperioli, who will also be playing a series regular.

The first season followed a group of wealthy tourists who visited The White Lotus, an exclusive Hawaiian resort. While initially planned to be a limited series, The White Lotus became one of HBO’s most popular shows this past summer. During its run, it was the number one series on HBO Max and the finale garnered “1.9 million viewers,” according to Variety. The first season starred Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Steve Zahn, Natasha Rothwell, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Murray Barlett, Jake Lacy, Sydney Sweeney, and Brittany O’Grady.

The second chapter - also written, directed, and executive produced by White, along with EP’s David Bernad and Mark Kamine - will take audiences from Hawaii to a brand new White Lotus property and will feature a different group of vacationers. So far, only Plaza and Imperioli have joined season 2 as main characters.
