One of the shows I'm really looking forward to this fall is the ABC series No Ordinary Family... even though it hasn't officially been picked up yet, though I can't imagine it won't get picked up. The show boasts a wonderful cast (Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Autumn Reeser, Romany Malco, Kay Panabaker, Jimmy Bennett) and a high-concept premise of a seemingly normal family who discover they have superhero-like abilities. Earlier today I was at the red carpet of The Streamy Awards, a relatively new award show celebrating the best of Internet-based programming, I had the chance to speak with Autumn Reeser, and she was certainly excited for the series.

"It's amazing," Reeser told us from the event held at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles. "It was such an amazing experience and I really hope it gets picked up."

They just recently wrapped filming on the pilot which, judging from all the Twitter posts from Reeser, Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz, it seemed like this pilot was a much longer shoot than a normal pilot.

"Yeah, it was a longer shoot because it's very special-effects heavy," Reeser added.

She also told us a bit about the character she'll be playing, but sadly, she won't have any super powers.

"I play Julie Benz's lab assistant. We're scientists, botanists. I don't have any super powers, but I help other people figure out what their super powers are. It's good. I'm like the comic relief."

That's not the only TV project coming up for Reeser as she also will be appearing again on Entourage in the show's seventh season, where she will appear in at least six episodes. She talked about how different her character is from her No Ordinary Family character.

"Yeah, very different characters. In No Ordinary Family, my character is a little ditzy. She's a scientist and she's book smart but she's not very socially smart. In Entourage, she's just a bad-ass. She's take-no-prisoners, a ball-buster and just so much fun to play."

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further news about No Ordinary Family as soon as we have more information, hopefully news of a series pick-up. The show stars Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Autumn Reeser, Romany Malco, Kay Panabaker, Jimmy Bennett.
