Marvel has released the first TV spot for their highly-anticipated Phase Two sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron, although, unfortunately, it doesn't come with any new footage that wasn't previously seen in the first two trailers. We reported yesterday that Marvel isn't planning on airing a Super Bowl TV spot for this new Avengers adventure, which makes sense since the second trailer arrived just a few weeks ago. Unless Marvel is planning a big surprise for the game on Sunday, it isn't known when we'll catch our next glimpse of footage.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time, 2012's Marvel's The Avengers, which took in over $1.5 billion worldwide in 2012. The story follows Tony Star, as he tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, when things go awry. Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Robert Downey Jr. returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. New characters include Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and an old friend in a new form with Paul Bettany as Vision. Take a look at the TV spot below, and stay tuned for more footage from director Joss Whedon's sequel, which may be one of the biggest movies 2015 has to offer, in theaters May 1.
