Director Joss Whedon has been making the press rounds of late to promote his highly-anticipated Marvel Phase Two adventure Avengers: Age of Ultron, arriving in theaters May 1. While this movie appears to be his last Marvel movie in the foreseeable future, the Avengers will return with Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 in 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 in 2019, which will be directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. During a recent interview with Vulture, Joss Whedon revealed that Thanos (Josh Brolin) won't be the only villain in the two-part Infinity War movie.

"A lot of people were surprised that Thanos wasn't the villains in Avengers 2, but he was never meant to be. He was always meant to be the puppet-master until he was done doing that, and then he'll be the big villain they face off with. Not solely - I'm sure there'll be plenty more [villains] in that monstrous epic, because one thing Marvel doesn't do is string a story out into two movies that shouldn't be two movies. They'll give you two big movies. I feel like we got two movies into this one!"

Of course, this leads to the question of what other villains may be popping up in Infinity War alongside Thanos. Producer Kevin Feige also revealed over the weekend that while Infinity War may technically be a two-part movie, they are both two separate and fully-functioning movies in their own right. It's possible that the movie could bring in both of Thanos' daughters, Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) from last year's Guardians of the Galaxy. Fans may also be introduced to a group of villains who fight with Thanos known as the Black Order, which includes Corvus Glaive, Black Dwarf, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, and Supergiant. Since this is a massive two-movie event, Marvel could theoretically bring in all of the previous Phase One and Phase Two villains who are still alive, as they side with Thanos against Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Naturally, this is all speculation, but there is certainly plenty of villains that could side with Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2. Who would you like to see pop up and fight with Thanos? Let us know what you think below.
