Baby Yoda joins the Avengers in a new Endgame mashup video. It's hard to think of a time before Baby Yoda, aka The Child. The Mandalorian premiered on November 17th and has had Star Wars fans in a trance ever since. Even people who are not fans of the franchise have been loving the little green creature. With that being said, it was only a matter of time before someone took Baby Yoda and placed him in the highest grossing movie of all time.
Avengers: Endgame is currently the biggest movie in box office history. It achieved this feat earlier this year and Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are still shocked by what they saw in theaters. Since the movie is now available digitally and on Blu-ray, fans have been able to put the movie under the microscope and even make their own memes and videos. Now, one crazy fan has taken the break out star of The Mandalorian and put him into the movie, throwing him right into the action.
Baby Yoda arrives during the climactic final battle in Avengers: Endgame. As Captain America prepares to take on Thanos, he hears a funny noise. He looks behind to see Baby Yoda coming out of a portal in his old floating pod, which has since been thrown in the garbage. We hear some cute baby noises and then out of nowhere, The Child brandishes a green Lightsaber and a scowl on his face. He is there to take on the Mad Titan, though he probably isn't ready for such a battle. He more than likely could have taken on Baby Thanos, but not the adult version.
Baby Thanos never made it into Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame, but there was a time when that was the original plan. Going back into The Mad Titan's backstory would have eaten up way too much time, so the Russo Brothers decided against it, though MCU fans wanted to see more of him. As for Baby Yoda, he's prominently featured in The Mandalorian and Star Wars fans are starting to wonder how he will fit into the larger narrative that has been constructed. Just what are Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni teasing here?
The Mandalorian season one is now half-way complete. The first season will wrap up at the end of this month and many are wondering if there will be any ties to The Rise of Skywalker, which hits theaters on December 20th. We're not expecting to see Baby Yoda float in to save the day like he does in the Avengers: Endgame mashup video, but there could be a closer tie somewhere else. As for what that could be is a mystery at this time, so we're just going to have to wait and see what Lucasfilm and Disney have prepared.
